INSURED BENEFITS
Medical Insurance - Benefits MN -Medica
• Full-time employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits effective the 1st day of the month following 30 days from hire date. SPYS pays for 91% of the employee's medical premium. If employees elect dependent coverage, they are responsible for the additional cost. Employee premiums are withheld from employee pay on a pre-tax basis.
Delta Dental Insurance
• Full-time employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits effective the 1st day of the month following 30 days from hire date. SPYS pays for 85% of the employee's cost for dental coverage.
Employees who elect dependent coverage are responsible for the additional cost. Dental premiums are withheld from employee pay on a pre-tax basis.
401 K Plan
• SPYS makes a generous matching contribution for employees participating in the 401k plan.
Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) - $50,000 benefit paid by SPYS
Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Employees contribute pre-tax up to IRS allowable maximum Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account - Employees contribute pre-tax up to IRS allowable maximum
Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave
SPYS is compliant with Minnesota’s Paid Family and Medical Leave (MN PFML) requirements. At this time, SPYS covers 100% of both the employer and employee PFML tax, though this may change in the future; if it does, the employee portion will be deducted from paychecks as required by law.

• Employees working less than 20 hours earn one hour of ESST for every 30 hours worked up to 48 hours per year
